Little Dresses for Many Occasions
With end of year events for the kids and some social outings for me, I thought it would be fun to wear some of my shorter dresses for these occasions and today, I am sharing a recap of those outfits with you. While a little black dress or a little white dress is a classic in everyone’s wardrobe, having a variety of dresses to wear for a dinner out or a school occasion creates some variety.
Tennis Banquet

I love red with turquoise and I have done the combo before with this dress, but using different accessories, so they was not a new idea, but was a great combo. Dresses was long enough to be comfortable for an indoor/outdoor event.
April Dinner with the Gals

I didn’t get an individual picture of me and my dress, so I am sharing the picture we took after dinner. We’ve been trying to do an annual dinner out with our Sunrise running crew and while not many were able to make it, we had a great time!
Dinner with the Girls

My first choice was a little dress, but since the the highs were in the mid 70’s, I decided to wear this newly thrifted romper to dinner. It is not a dress, but I still thought it could fit in the category for this post. The olive color was more appropriate that the lemon print in my mind. Cooler weather, cooler color.
Brunch with the Girls

I thrifted this dress last year: I first saw the simple pattern, then felt the material and I knew I wanted to take it home. It is by American Eagle. I ran the 4 mile women’s race in Atlanta last month and we went out to brunch afterwards.
Recital Ready

I thrifted this the day before my son’s piano recital and decided to wear it in keeping with the theme of this post! It is a little on the shorter side, but I think the ruffled hem helps with making it easy to move in it.
Lemon Dress

I decided to wear this for my son’s honors night with a pair of sneakers to be comfortable. I had forgotten how cute this print was. I wore it last for my birthday brunch in September, but I plan to wear it a lot this summer!
All of the dresses and the romper except for the red one were thrifted!

So many cute looks! Especially loved the American Eagle dress and the lemon print dress! Also, I’ve never considered pairing red with turquoise but now I’m inspired to try it! Thanks!

You look great in the dress + sneakers combo! On me, it always feels wrong – maybe it’s to my taste but not my own personal style.

First romper I like enough to buy. The length of them usually is off for me. Need more length!

I like dresses in that it’s so easy to look put together, and all you have to do is put on a dress. No need to think which top would go with a skirt. Just easy.

Exactly! Makes getting dressed so simple!

Thanks, Kathrine! It’s taken me a while to get to this point. I really feel like thrifting has helped: the stuff in stores sometimes looks like everyone else’s and buying online, you never know what you are going to get.
