Month in Review
September is always a busy month for us but this month was even busier than ever! Here is my month in review!
20th Anniversary Date
My husband surprised me by coming home a day early from his work trip and we went out on a nice date. I was spoiled with a new wedding band (mine had to be caught off at the fire station last year as I couldn’t take my rings off after trying for years and it started to pain my finger) and a message in a bottle. Here is my quick look for our date dinner. Our big celebration starts today (I will share next week more than likely).
Kitchen Island
After talking about it for 4 years and planning for it the last 6 month, our new kitchen island happened and was completed on our anniversary (minus painted the posts and installing our new light fixture). We love it! It fits all 6 of us, lightens up the kitchen and just makes us happy!
Island posts have now been painted, old fixture taken down and new one is up but I haven’t taken any new pics yet.
Birthday Celebrations
My son turned 16, my husband and I had a birthday and we ate and were merry. For my birthday we went to the Atlanta botanical gardens. Here is my birthday post! And this is me at the botanical gardens on my actual birthday!
I made a box cake and decorated it with flowers from the garden.
Noxgear Ambassador
I became a brand ambassador for Noxgear. You can read my blog post and review here. I wrote it before coming an ambassador for them and I use my Tracer 2 everytime I run or walk in the dark!

Thrifting with my IG Friend
I had a wonderful time thrifting with my IG friend @thefauxfrenchgirl on my anniversary. We found some great pieces and ended with lunch at Whole Foods.
Brother’s Church Wedding
It took me several tries (some of them pretty funny) to find the right dress for my brother’s wedding as we were going to be in the wedding party. The theme was dust rose and full length. It was a beautiful wedding and lots of fun!

My goodness you and your family did have a busy time. Happy belated birhday and Happy anniversary to you both. We also celebrated a wedding anniversary on Sept. 11th, 46 years where has the time gone.

Your anniversary is on my birthday! October will be much calmer, hubby and I just got back from our anniversary trip to Costa Rica so all I have planned it some weekend hikes.

Happy birthday and happy anniversary to you and your husband. What a beautiful dress you wore on your actual birthday and the dusty rose coloured wedding outfit was just fabulous – you looked amazing. I think thrifting with a friend is a great way to spend your birthday and I was very impressed with your birthday cake.
The kitchen island looks magnificent and how useful they are as they double up as table space. My kitchen is about the size of your kitchen island so we’d never be able to have one!

Lol! That island is pretty giant but now we can all sit at it without fighting. I believe the last 30 days have been some of the greatest in a while. Lots of family time and this past weekend my husband and I had a short trip to Costa Rica to celebrate that 20th anniversary. We are blessed!
