Non Denim Pants Styles for Spring and Summer
Good morning! I am looking forward to the weekend as today is the last day of school and tomorrow is the start of our summer break! I cannot believe how fast this year has gone and that next year, I will have a senior in high school, a 7th grader, a 4th grader and a kindergartner! Time flies and being a parent has been both a challenge and an incredible journey. I pray for God’s blessings upon my children, their growth and their choices in life. But, back to fashion! Today, I am sharing some inspiration for some non denim pants ideas. I will not be linking any of these pieces as they were shopped from my closet and most of them are a year or more or are thrifted. I am just hoping to remind you of some fun options that you might have in your closet or you might thrift or buy.
Joggers
Most eveyone has a pair of joggers! This pair is a little different than my other pair as it is linen and pink (vs grey or black). I’ve worn different things with it but my favorite way is to pair a bodysuit with it or a tank top! I often pair sneakers with my joggers but sandals work well too and are less warm.
Printed Pants
People often mistake these Old Navy Pixie pants for leggings. The print is really fun and I have worn many colors with it, pink, gold, navy and even stripes. I wore grey on a grey spring day but the idea is that wearing a printed pair of pants can be a lot more interesting than wearing a pair of jeans!
Palazzo Pants
These palazzo pants were thrifted. They are now the only pair of palazzo pants I own as my other pairs were paper bag waists and I just do not like the style on me. I like that this pair is more fitted which is less bulky. I typically wear a muted top with it, but I thought it would be fun to depart from my usual fitted top and wear something more flowy on top.
Statement Pants
I wasn’t sure what to title this category but I thought statement pants encompassed the three pairs. My favorite is this red pair which you have seen before if you read my blog regularly. I don’t think I have worn them with a stripe top yet which surprises me: I like this outfit!
Both the red pair of pants and these fun navy/white pants were second hand finds. These are so comfy! The shorter length and fun tie detail makes them really easy to wear for all kind of occasions. I really should try to dress the blue pants up one day. Heels and a lacy top? Be on the lookout for a post on how to wear these 5 different ways next month!
These April Cornell pants make me think of pajamas and I typically only style them with white or black. Since we’ve had some cooler mornings, I decided to wear my sweatshirt with them. So comfy!
A bientôt!

Loved the jogger pants. I didn’t see where you were showing the store that you purchased these? Please let me know.

The reason I did not link them is that they were from a small online boutique a couple years ago and I think it went out of business! I am sorry because they are a fun pair!

Gosh, I love these options and this is something we may have to blog about. Denim is way too hot for our summers.

Denim is definitely too hot in the summer but that is kind of nice so that when fall arrives I am ready to wear all the denim again.

I think I’m the only person in the world who doesn’t own any joggers. I just don’t like the way I look in them. I love seeing them on other people, and you are gorgeous in yours! Your red statement pants have always been a favorite of mine, and, of course, I love the April Cornell pants! I wore mine just the other day!

I don’t always like how they look in the belly area, so it has to be the right pair.

I don’t think I own palazzo pants!

This is the one pair that I have kept.

You have the coolest pants collection! More and more, I am tired of my legs sticking to restaurant booths and chairs when I wear shorts – I should look for more pants that work for summer!
mimifce
Exactly! I am wearing some shorts this week as it is still in the low 80s but pretty soon, I won’t!

I’ve been living in my joggers lately. Love the color of yours! I have palazzo pants on my wishlist!

I haven’t worn them as much lately but I still reach for them.

Enjoy your summer vacation!! I find that once the warm weather hits I rarely wear denim (even my denim capri pants don’t get much use) as I tend to like all the prints and colors and ligtherweight materials. These are all such great outfit ideas.

Thank you, Joanne! I have been loving all of your stylings too!

Lots of cute looks! I love the first outfit with the joggers.

I really like that the material is linen.

A great round-up of options for the summer heat. The red pants with striped top is a combination I never tire of – it’s just such a classic look with a wonderfully summery color combination.

It sure is! I do love those pants!

I concur with these categories! I’ve been experimenting more and more with different styles of trousers to see what works best on me, and you’ve hit all the different ones. Love the red pants (no surprise there).

My favorite too! They are great options when it is hot and humid.

You really have some great spring and summer pants options! Love all of these unique styles on you, especially the red tiered ones. Thanks for sharing yur stylings. Hope you have a good week!

I searched high and low for the red tier ones and then started building my collection once I realized how perfect loose pants were in the summer.

So many great options instead of denim! I love the joggers and the cool printed pants!

Mica Away From The Blue
I like the variety of pants you have! I just have jeans, haha! I might have different coloured ones or pritned ones, but it’s still just jeans in the end! I only really get to wear them over winter, so I have more variety with my shorts instead 🙂
Thanks for joining the Weekday Wear Link up 🙂
