Planning an at Home Fall Break
We do not have any trips plans until our beach trip for Thanksgiving but the boys have 4 days for a short fall break. I decided to keep the budget low but still have fun: we will make use of those yearly memberships we bought this summer! My brother and family will be spending 2 of the days with us before leaving for their new home. So some of the activities will include them. Friday: Zoo trip with my brother and family. Picnic by the River
On my birthday weekend in Ellijay, GA we spent a few hours by the river having a picnic, relaxing and jumping in the river. The subdivision we were staying at was very large and included a campground by a river. My son and I walked down and discovered how pretty the area would be for lunch and after changing into clothes that would work for our activities, we returned with food and the rest of the gang. Cost per Wear: Finding Multiple Ways to Wear an Item
A while back, I created a spreadsheet to keep track of how many times I wore something but I didn’t keep it up for long. Flower and Apple Picking in Ellijay, GA
While enjoying a weekend in Ellijay, GA with my family as well as my brother and his family, we decided to go apple picking at the orchard we usually visit, R&A Orchards. When we arrived we were told that there would be only one kind of apple to pick (there are usually 4 or 5 different ones you can pick) because a late frost in April had affected the trees and 60% of the future crop was lost. Attention getting title? A couple weeks ago, I received an email from Kohls with a $5 giftcard coupon for my birthday. I do not shop often at Kohls but if I do, I typically look at the clearance section. I had grand ideas of taking my pictures gem panning in Dahlonega (the boys love to go) but when it came down to it, I just wanted to get my pictures taken for this post. Ziplining with Screaming Eagles Adventures
I didn’t plan much for my little anniversary getaway with my husband a couple of weeks ago. I knew I wanted to have an overnight trip without children, something in the mountains and thought that ziplining would be fun as it was right there at Amicalola Falls.
