October’s theme was chosen by Cathy from My Side of 50 and was great theme where we could use our imagination: what to wear to a fall event. As a family, in the fall we enjoy going to festivals, apple orchards and pumpkin patches. Some years, we do all three, others none. I chose an appropriate and a very broad theme for our Ageless Style link up this June. Sleeveless can be a dress, a top, a vest, it can be spaghetti strap or a broad strap and with summer upon us, sleeveless might feel like a nice choice many days. This was one of those instances when I take pictures for a blog post way ahead of time. I bought this pretty dress in a little boutique while on spring break in Tennessee and when I discovered this pretty patch of flowers off of the road our cabin was on, I told my boys we had to take some blog pictures. I had several ideas in mind for this post as I have a number of sweatshirts but ended up with a spur of the moment photoshoot last week on the day of my haircut. The trees are rapidly blooming and losing their blooms so I thought this bright yellow sweatshirt would be very appropriate for a bright sunny day and taking pictures near this tree would be perfect for spring. Since I have never devoted a whole post to this summer 2020 Loft Clearance find, I decided that this little poncho deserved some attention and it fit perfectly with our Ageless Style theme. I actually had a completely different outfit in mind with a different poncho but when I wore this one day at the end of January, I decided that we needed to take some blog pictures with it. Periwinkle with the Ageless Style Link UP
I enjoyed putting this outfit together as there were so many shades of periwinkle to choose from. The color is derived from violet and blue and while the new Pantone color of the year Very Peri might be a little more infused with color the shade of purple in my outfit fits quite well in the tones of periwinkle as can be found by googling the color. This is the Veri Peri color: I do have one purple top that I guess would be very close in shade but is a summer top and I did not want to buy anything new for our theme. I am curious…
