Midi Skirt: Brighten Your Day!

I wore this bright and cheery outfit for Sunday church in June. I have had my Modcloth skirt for several years now and you has seen featured on the blog several times (here, here and here). Since receiving this bright fuschia top from I’ll be have what she’s wearing, I have found several opportunities to wear it and found a perfect match in the bright pinks in this skirt.

I often wear fitted tops with this voluminous skirt but I couldn’t pass up this color combination. I went ahead and front tucked the blouse to create a little shape and chose an older pair of wedge sandals. These have really held well over the years as I don’t wear them very often.

This skirt has the best twirl factor! I am pretty sure it is a full circle. I find it interesting that I like neutral outfits about as much as bright outfits like this one. I think it is about variety and mood. Brights like this make me smile while neutrals make me calm.

The skirt does have pockets which is practical if you do not want to carry a purse. I have done that on occasion as the pockets are well hidden in all of the skirt’s folds. Keys and card do not add bulk at the waist.

I changed the chain strap on this little bag to a yellow one for a few days but I am not sure I like the combination. I think this strap is too thin and stiff with it.

I am glad I picked up this pair of sunglasses on clearance last month because it wasn’t but a few weeks later that I broke one of my older pairs. The pink tint in them lends itself to this outfit.

Do you have a favorite piece in your closet? I have several, probably 5 that I really would have a hard time parting with and this is one of them.

A bientΓ΄t!
