What to Wear to a Concert
I’ve been having fun with this little series of what to wear to different events because really it all depends on your personal style and comfort as to what you would wear for different occasions and places. Today, I am sharing an outfit I wore to my son’s high school chorus concert, but this could be an outfit you could wear to a bridal or baby shower, a school banquet or dinner with your friends! I always like to dress up a little for school events, but since I wore a lot of dresses lately for outings and dinners, I wanted to wear something a little different. I decided to wear this recently thrifted Chico’s topper with its beautiful embroidery.
This is a really cool piece and the picture below really does it justice! I’ve always love a grey and pink combo, so when I saw this, I knew I would buy it if it fit. It is from a vendor in a booth that always seems to find the coolest pieces. I bought my mannequin form from that booth and a cool striped cardigan recently. I’ll have to share it soon (or when it gets cooler).

This is the perfect example of how one should always consider the back view because just as many people see us from the back as from the front. And this is absolutely spectactular from the back.

Oh my goodness, Mireille, that is such a fabulous secondhand find! I would have had the same reaction to it as you did. It is so gorgeous. I really like the way you styled it over a more casual base layer. I also like to dress up a little more for my son’s school concerts but for the winter concerts I usually wear leggings, a tee shirt, and some interesting topper piece with some drama just like this one!
