Mother’s Day Outfit
We took my mom and dad out for Mother’s Day after church to the same restaurant we went to last year: La Cubana in Marietta. It’s just a few minutes from church, the food is good and the prices reasonable and there is a great mural for family pictures. While we waited for my parents, I had one of the boys take some blog pictures for me. I shared what I wore last year (here) and I wanted to wear something different this year. I chose this purple dress since I had not worn it in a while and I love the color and shimmery details. I shared it last…

Spring and Summer Purses and Totes
I thought it would be fun to highlight some of the purses that I like to wear in spring and summer. I like to rotate them every couple of weeks as I have a lot of totes and purses that are cute for the warm months. In the winter and fall, I tend to wear a purse for about a month before I alternate it. Here are some recent thrifted finds followed by a couple favorites that I have had a little longer and were not thrifted. Thrifted Fringe Purse What a fun find! The bag is a loose macrame and is very well made. I got it for just …

Thrifted Corset Top 3 Ways
Today, I am sharing a corset top 3 Ways. I thrifted it last month when I was searching for cognac/caramel tone pieces to add to my closet. The price was right ($3) for something that I knew I could wear at least a couple of different ways. When I shared my outfit on my Instagram stories, Jodie reached out to me to collaborate on a blog post featuring different ways to wear a corset top and here is the link to her post. I thought it would be fun to see how I could wear it and it was definitely something I had to experiment with. I had 2 outfit…

Graphic Tees for Spring and Summer
After styling a graphic tee last month for our Ageless style link up post, I was inspired to pull out my graphic tees and wear them with a variety of pieces in my closet. None of these combinations are new, but I did try to style them in ways I had not before. Here are outfits I wore a couple weeks ago. Inspired by Marsha I was inspired by Marsha’s Ageless Style post last month to put this look together. It is such an easy outfit to recreate as most of us have a white tee and a denim skirt in our closet. My skirt here is actually a thrifted…

Black and White with the Ageless Style Link Up
This month’s theme for the Ageless Style Link Up is black and white. I love this classy combination and have worn it several times as you will see at the end of the post. Since I had not worn this black, white and gold tunic in quite a while, I decided it was time for it to reappear on the blog. I think I have had for about 10 years and I think the cut and colors make it a timeless piece. It is nice and stretchy, so it has worked for me when my weight has fluctuated. Pairing it with white keeps it a fresh spring or summer look…

Bohemian Dream: A Spring Trend Favorite
I have always loved embroidery, flow maxi skirts and dresses, crochet and tassels. So when I saw that one of the 2025 spring trends was titled bohemian dream, I knew I had to put together a fun boho inspired outfit. I had been wanting to update my white peasant skirt for a while (I had one for years from Old Navy and had to get rid of it a few years ago) and the one my mom gave me last year was fine, but a little tight. After some online searching, I found one that I liked at Francesca’s and headed to the mall. I called ahead to make sure…

Spring Outfit Inspiration: 2nd Edition
I shared some inspired by outfits at the end of the March here and started to come across more outfits that inspired me so I decided to share them today. I love shopping my closet and this is a fun way to come up with new outfits. Inspired by Curated by Jennifer I love how Jennifer tries to wear her closet and buy substainable clothing when she does buy something new. She enjoy copying outfits from Turkish ditzis and rewears her clothes in new ways. Nothing better than to copy one of her looks! She shared this outfit in a post here and as soon as I saw it, I…

White Dress over Denim
I thrifted this fun white dress last spring and was instantly in love with the embroidery details and fun cut (and pockets!). When planning my Easter outfits, I knew I wanted to wear this white dress for one of them (we have 2 church services we attend), but in a different way than in the past (I wore it with white leggings and sandals last Easter). So I decided to style it in a more casual manner since we would go to our church’s party after the Agape Vespers on Sunday. I wore another white dress of our Pascha/Easter service and liturgy which starts around 11:30 PM and lasts several…

Casual Spring Outfit
Today, I am sharing another outfit I wore on our spring break trip to Nashville. I packed casual comfortable clothes and really enjoyed what I wore. My closet is a pretty good mix of thrifted and retail clothes and this outfit is a perfect example of that. Both my jeans and my sneakers were purchases inspired by blogging friends: I bought the Gap slim cropped pants after Kelly Ann from This Blonde Shopping Bag shared them last year and the sneakers are a pair very similar to Bo’s from Bo’s Bodacious Blog. More often than not, I replicate outfits with similar items found in my closet, but every so often,…

Petal Pink Shopped from my Closet
When I was brainstorming ideas for blog posts for the month of April, I googled spring trends and earmarked the ideas that fit my style and my closet. I didn’t want to buy anything new, but wanted to see what I had that would work: one of the colors that was trending was pistachio and I shared my outfits with Pops of Pistachio last week. Another color was Petal Pink so today, I am sharing a petal pink outfit and I really love what I came up with. I wore this on a busy day: errands, some chores, a dentist appointment, a windshield repair (just a chip) and some cooking.…
