Poshmark Finds
Well, I haven’t done too well with my slowing down on my shopping lately but at least I am trying to include some small business/substainable fashion in it! This past week Meg from @pixieandcurls on Instagram was sharing some pictures of some finds she was going to post on her Poshmark account and I decided to do a little shopping. It would both help her and my closet! Here are 3 of the items I purchased (there is a pink/purple denim jacket that IĀ gifted to a tween and a cute little yellow bucket purse that might make an Instagram appearance at some point. Fun, Fun, Fun Bando Tee This…

Accessories are amazing!
If you are traveling or if you have a small wardrobe, accessories can be a game changer. They can transform an outfit by a switch of a shoe or an earring or by their addition such as a scarf or a necklace. They can be more economical than adding a blouse or a pair of pants to your closet and if you are traveling they do not take much space (apart from shoes). Now the earrings I am sharing are not economical as Nickel and Suede earrings run usually around $25 to $32 but I love them so much that I have collected a dozen pairs over the past few…

My favorite spring shoes
Today, I wanted to share the shoes I reach for the most in the springtime. One of these is new while the others are a year old or so. I do not wear my sandals much until I get my nails painted sometime usually in April but with things the way they are now, I probably buy a bottle of nail polish (can you believe I don’t have any?) next week, and see how good of a job I can do on my own. Burgundy Shoreline Converse My favorite type of Converse is the Shoreline because I like not having to tie a shoe lace. Having a short shoe lace…

Transitioning to Spring
How do you transition your wardrobe to spring when it is still cool outside but you are tired of your winter clothes. There are several ways to do this without freezing your little tushy off. Colors! Choose your white jeans instead of your black or blue ones. Use brighter colors in your sweaters or blouses. Patterns and textures Bring out some of your florals you haven’t worn this winter and layer under or over. Choose lighter fabrics and layer them. Spring like toppers Shoes and accessories Put away your boots and bring out your open toe booties. Pull out your fashion sneakers such as your converse or your fun white…

Kimono outfits for Spring
One of the purposes of my blog is to show you that fashion can be fun and affordable and that you do not need an overflowing closet to dress in a cute and relevant manner. This year, I am trying to buy with a purpose and to think through my purchases. One of the things I wanted to add to my closet was one or 2 kimonos and I found one half off on Amazon last month in a burgundy color. I probably will look for a teal one at some point in April but I wanted to show how just one kimono and one pair of pants can create…

Leather jacket, 4 ways
While this jacket is faux leather, it is well made and I do not feel the need to add a real leather jacket to my closet. I have another faux leather jacket in the blush family which is more of a moto jacket. I did use to have a nice brown real leather jacket that was lined but after many years, I finally donated it. It was getting too tight for me. I really love having a colored “leather” jacket because it adds interest to any outfit. Even better, this is the jacket my sister in law gave me so I didn’t have to spendĀ a dime on it. The…

Date night outfit
Last week, my husband’s uncle took us out to the Westin Sundial restaurant in downtown Atlanta. I will spend a little time sharing about our experience there in Wedsnesday’s post but today, I wanted to share about my outfit. The pictures were mostly taken at my house so the background is not very pretty but I wanted to share how you can shop your closet to create a fun date night look. I actually have not been doing so well with trying to be careful with my spending lately. While I am sticking to my list (I wanted to add skirts to my closet and that is what I purchased…

One skirt, 3 ways
Now that my closet has been rid of any items that don’t fit, annoy me or that I just didn’t like, I need to make sure to wear what I have before I decide to buy anything in one of the categories. Before buying new skirts, I need to wear the ones I have first. The following striped skirt was thrifted several years ago and while I do not wear it very often, it has made it through several closet decluttering sessions. Since it is still here to stay, then I should wear it! I decided to create 3 different looks with it that I could wear in fall/winter since…

Favorite traveling outfit
A couple weeks ago, I shared some of my favorite vacation outfits. Today, I wanted to share a few of my traveling outfits which are outfits that I wear either traveling by car or plane. I wore this outfit a couple years ago for our long plane journey to Tbilisi (Rebublic of Georgia) and have worn several variations of it using these Zella joggers on roadtrips. That trip usually takes us a little over 24 hours so comfortable shoes are essential and these joggers (which have been sold out for a while) dry easily if wet. They have an elastic band and I definitely got my cost per wear out…

White denim jacket for winter
You always hear bloggers share that we should wear our white denim in winter. I love wearing wearing my white jeans in winter with either neutrals or my winter sweaters. But what about your white denim jacket? Should it only come out in Spring and Summer? Last Sunday, as I looked through my closet choosing my church outfit, I came accross this dress. I hadn’t worn it in a couple of years but was not about to donate it because I think the cut is flattering and the colors and patterns are versatile and interesting. But what to wear as a topper? Even in Georgia, winter gets cold sometimes! Even…
