Arizona Travel Outfits
I will be sharing some beautiful pictures from the scenery we came across in Scottsdale, AZ in my Wednesdays posts (I love cacti!) but for today, I wanted to share my daily outfits from our short weekend trip to Arizona. We went to Scottsdale to attend my brother’s wedding and to spend time with him and my new sister in law. I tried to pack ligthly but I did learn a few things from this trip as it was the first time we were visiting such a hot place. I typically wear joggers with a tee and sneakers when traveling but wanted to limit the number of shoes I brought…

Sports with the Ageless Style Link Up
This theme proposed by Jodie for Jtouchofstyle can be interpreted many ways. Since I do not typically share athletic wear on my blog, I thought this would be a fun departure from my usual style that I share with you usually. I am one of those people who just cannot spend big money on exercise clothes whose purpose it to sweat in but I will splurge on a good sports bra and a good pair of running shoes. I shared some of the things I do to try to keep in shape in this post but I also spent a couple years coaching 7 year old soccer and that is…

Camo Skinnies for a Date Night Look
I’ve been wanting to share these sand camo pants (another pair of Old Navy Pixie pants) for a little while and decided to put together another date night look. I plan to wear this one evening this month to go out with the hubby. I have worn this pair a couple of times during the day but will mostly wear them in the spring and fall I think. Too hot on most days for pants here! I paired them with this flowy high low blouse (similar) and since I am wearing my white one for the upcoming Fab 40s post, I chose my blush one. For me this is an…

Fun Summer Yard Games
I added a few things to our outdoor games and activities this year. While we do not tend to spend large amounts of time outdoors in our yard in the summer (think bugs and humidity) we do enjoy the occasional game and fun in the shade! I made a stop at Walmart at the beginning of summer and we stopped at Five and Below one day and from there came our favorite activities this summer. Badminton Set I think I have shared it in a Friday Favorites post but this badminton set has been gold for us. It came in really handy on the 4th of July and the kids…

Downtown Bike Ride
Our activities this summer have consisted of a lot free outdoors activities apart from two weekend trips. One of the new to us activities and riding our bikes downtown. We park at a nearby park as the hill to our neigborhood is not fun at all especially after biking and we typically pack some water and snacks or lunch. After doing it with just our oldest, we took all of the kids on our last expedition. From where we park, there are side walks the whole way as well as crosswalks which makes us feel safe. A large part of the ride is also in the shade so a late…

Stars and Stripes: July 2021 Sunday Showcase and Link Up
Ada (Elegance and Mommyhood) and I have now collaborated for the Sunday Showcase Link Up for a year now! So I was happy with this month’s theme as I am wearing patriotic outfits but very different ones from last year’s post! Of course, my closet was full of stripes so it was a manner of choosing which striped top of bottom to wear and I did order something new for the stars (it’s always a good excuse to shop!). Stars At first glance, you may not see the stripes in this outfit especially that none of my outfit pictures are close up so scroll down to see where they appear.…

June Favorite Looks
I am glad to say that I have liked pretty much every outfit I have worn this past month. Of course, there are some that I liked more than others and those are the ones I rounded up here. Once again, there is a lot of color! I probably will be wearing more neutrals as the fall season arrives! I like these pants much better now that my mom hemmed them. With the elastic waisband, I can make them more of a cropped length or not by pulling them higher or lower on my waist. Loving my $5 Target tanks. I also pulled out my glass pendants this month after…

Old Fort Jackson, Savannah, GA
Our last adventure on our mini vacation to Tybee Island took us to Old Fort Jackson. The fort is right off the road you take to the island so after reading a brief description, I decided it would be a fun outing for us and it did not disappoint. “Georgia’s oldest standing brick fortification perches on the banks of the Savannah River so its guns could fire on any vessel coming into Savannah. Chances are good that you will get an up-close view of an oceangoing ship during your visit. Walk on the parapet of the fort and investigate the structure’s many nooks and crannies. Two powder magazines and most…

Fab 40s: Inspired by Fire: Red Dress 6 Ways
There is something really satisfying about knowing you have worn something many times and in different ways. A solid dress is a canvas with which you can play with accessories, layers and shoes and a dress with little extra details like this one is even more fun. This Target dress has been around for a couple of years now. At the time I wrote this post, it was only available in white and size medium and above. I did size up to a medium even though I usually size down in this brand because the bust was too tight in other sizes. The eyelet details, the ruffles, tassels and v-neck…

Friday Favorites June Edition
I cannot believe the month of June is almost over. That means, we have been on summer break for practically a month already and that school will start in about 6 weeks. I have been enjoying time with the kids even though they sometimes drive me crazy and we have had a lot of quality time playing board games, going on outings and playing the Nintendo switch. Our Garden I have finally found a few plants that will survive my lack of care (actually, my mother in law has been watering them). But I am really enjoying the sunflowers I planted. We have a couple of lavender plants as well as…
